So this is entirely on them. That said, you can add your Google account to Windows and you will be able to access your email, calendar and contacts in the native Microsoft Mail & Calendar apps. Gmail app stuck on sign in page. When I open the app, it goes straight to the sign in page. When I choose sign in, it goes to manage accounts. I am unable to select any of the accounts. A better option is to download the apk of an third party email client and add your gmail there. I ended up just going through the browser as Fajita_angina suggested.
